Pro-ACT
Based on Principles drawn from evidence-based practice and tested in a wide variety of healthcare, behavioral health, residential and education settings, Pro-ACT is a training program for organizations and agencies seeking to reduce or eliminate the use of restraint.
With an emphasis on critical thinking and continued assessment, Pro-ACT looks beyond the topography of behavior to identify and address client needs. It’s this distinctive problem-solving approach for creating safety that Pro-ACT users find valuable and effective.
Sexual Harassment
This harassment training complies with California’s workplace requirements (SB 1343, SB 778, and SB 530), enforced by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). Our California sexual harassment training and prevention courses provide a positive approach to sexual harassment issues, reinforce an affirmative workplace culture around respectful conduct, and sexual harassment training California requirements.
Structured Contact Sessions
This model teaches community supervision officers, non-profit staff and case managers how to translate principles of effective intervention into practice, and how to use core correctional practices in face-to-face interactions with offenders. Staff are taught to follow a structured approach to their interactions with offenders, by adhering to the risk, needs, and responsivity (RNR) principles.
Case Management
Case Management Training provides instructions on 5 domains: (1) assessing the client’s needs; (2) developing a service plan; (3) linking the client to appropriate services; (4) monitoring client progress; and (5) advocating for the client as needed.
Motivational Interviewing
This interview strategy assists people in becoming motivated to change the behaviors that are preventing them from making healthier choices. Research shows that motivational interviewing can be a crucial tool in building rapport between mandated populations and staff. It can also improve an individual's self efficacy.
Fidelity Monitoring
A method agencies use to continuously examine their processes, employees, procedures and training practices. It is a way to use data to make more informed decisions and to evaluate effectiveness.
